Tom Wolstenholme
Rivendell Marine
Monument Beach, Massachusetts

Tom created Rivendell Marine in the spring of 1975 to repair and restore traditional wooden sailing vessels.   Over the past 30 years projects have run the gamut in both power and sail from Herreshoffs to Concordias and Mackenzies to Elcos; but, always specializing in plank-on-frame wooden hulls.   A notable project was the “Rehabilitation” of the 1916 William Hand schooner LOTUS for the Otetiana Concil Sea Explorers and the State of New York.   LOTUS is registered as a historic vessel with New York State and the National Register of Historic Structures.

Tom has been a USCG licensed Master since 1985 and holds an endorsement for
100 ton auxilliary sail.
